Can my subscription start any time?
Yes. Tell us the month you want your subscription to begin. We usually have adequate supplies of the current month, and several previous months.
How long will it take for me to get my first copy after I subscribe?
You will get your first copy within ten days after we receive your order, unless your subscription begins with the following month. We don't publish in July or August.
Do I have to subscribe for a whole year?
No. There is no minimum amount of time for subscriptions. You can order for a single month if you like.
When does my subscription end? How can I renew it?
Look at the address label on the envelope you receive your paper in. Your beginning and ending dates are on the top line. We send one notice with your last issue to let you know it's time to renew. We do not send additional notices. You can renew by filling out the coupon on page 10 of the newspaper, or by filling out an order form.

I want to subscribe for my friend who lives in another country. How can I do that?
To order for a friend in another country, print out the Overseas order form. Fill it out with your friend's name and address clearly written in the SEND TO or SHIP TO part. Write your own name and address in the BILL TO part. Send payment in check or money order in US dollars (or credit card information) to pay for the subscription.
I'm moving back to my home country. Can I change my address and get Easy English NEWS sent to me there?
Yes. If you move to another country, send us a notice with the address we currently have for your subscription, plus your new address. We will give you credit for the months you have already paid for, and apply that credit to the cost of sending an international subscription. For example, if you paid $38 for your subscription and we sent you four months' issues in the United States, and then you move to Japan, you will have a credit for 6 US issues, or $22.80. That $22.80 will be applied to the overseas cost of $5 per month. We will send you four more issues to your new address, plus a $2.80 refund.
I didn't get my latest issue. What should I do?
We promise your newspaper by the first of the month, if you reside in the United States. If you have not received it by the 2nd day of the month, you can email us with your complete address to let us know. You can also call 888 296 1090 and leave a message with your name and address, and your telephone number. In 90% of cases of missed newspapers, we've found, either the subscription had ended, or it was received at your building, but not delivered to you. If you work at a school, check with the receiving desk first.
I didn't get the Teacher's Guide. Where can I get it quickly?
Click here to get a copy of this month's or previous month's Teacher's Guide. The Teacher's Guide is posted at this website. You can download it and print it.

Is there a school discount?
Yes! There is a large discount for multiple copies for classes. The more copies you order, the less it costs per copy. One of the highest costs of Easy English NEWS is postage. We pass on the savings in postage to you when you order more than one copy.
Our program has no funds to buy Easy English NEWS. How can we get it at a very low cost?
For charitable programs with no funds or low funds, we can help. We can send you 50-100 copies of a recent back issue for $10 in check or money order. At this price, you are paying just for shipping and handling; we do not accept purchase orders, but ask for payment at the time of ordering. We will select the month to send you, as not all months are available.
Who writes the articles in Easy English NEWS?
Elizabeth Claire writes the articles in Easy English NEWS unless you see someone else's name in the byline. Stories on This Is Your Page are written by our readers, selected and corrected and simplified by Dr. Lynn Corigliano and Elizabeth.
When did Easy English NEWS get started?
Easy English NEWS was started by Elizabeth Claire and Mariko Sasaki in February, 1996. It was then a free newspaper for Bergen County, New Jersey newcomers, supported by advertising. After seven months, it became a national newspaper, sold by subscription, and takes no advertising.
I found a mistake, how can I let the editor know?
We are happy to learn about our mistakes, so if you see an error that bothers you, please email us about it. It will make our editors work harder. We can make 58,000 errors each month! Elizabeth does make mistakes, and sometimes our six copy editors don't catch them all. Even when the paper is 99.99% perfect, some errors get through. We hope that teachers will help readers be aware of these and compensate for our imperfections.
Why don't you publish in July or August?
We don't publish in July or August, because most of our newspapers go to ESL programs in schools, and they are closed in July and August.
